Each year, we recognize the individuals, organizations, and businesses that do the most to support our community. Please take a few moments to nominate your choice for each of the categories below. Winners will then be chosen by our Board of Directors and announced at the 2024 Volusia Pride Pageant.

Community Leader of the Year

The Community Leader of the Year is a leader of a local business or organization who stands out above others by exemplifying exceptional leadership, hard work, and positive contributions to the region. They use their success to benefit the whole community, leading non-profits and other business owners to success. Their selfless actions and voice bring positive change to the community around them. Nominee may or may not own a business.

Small Business of the Year

The Small Business of the Year stands out from other businesses in its daily operations and stories of success, despite the many challenges faced by small businesses. This business is a shining example of determination, hard work, and positive differences we all can make in our community. They stand up for the LGBTQ+ community by operating as a safe and inclusive space for all.

Community Partner of the Year

The Community Partner of the Year is a business or organization that has demonstrated exceptional positive change in our community and outstanding mission-driven projects, setting an example for other businesses and organizations. Their voices and actions throughout the year show outstanding support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Community Business Partner of the Year

The Community Business Partner of the Year is a business or organization that has demonstrated exceptional positive change in our community and outstanding mission-driven projects, setting an example for other businesses and organizations. Their voices and actions throughout the year show outstanding support for the LGBTQ+ community.

DeLand Pride Volunteer of the Year

This member of the DeLand Pride organization has demonstrated exceptional dedication to our mission. There contributions throughout the year are unparalleled.

DeLand Pride Entertainer of the Year

This entertainer has performed at DeLand Pride events throughout the year, and gone above and beyond to display the spirit of DeLand Pride in their performances. They are an exhibit the essence of pride and professionalism in all they do, but especially in their performances at DeLand Pride events.

Bartender of the Year

The bartender of the year is someone who supports the LGBTQ+ community by being especially welcoming and respectful of our community. The bartender must work at a local bar in DeLand.
