Contestant Information and Registration.
Welcome to the Volusia Pride Family. This is our fifth Annual Pride Pageant (formerly DeLand Pride Pageant) and we are very proud of its continued success.
Volusia Pride Pageant Registration is open to anyone that wishes to compete that can faithfully execute the requirements. The Pageant consists of three categories outlined below, and three divisions of Mr, Ms, amd Mx:
An onstage interview will be conducted during the registration process.
Volusia Creative Costume Presentation - This year, as we expand to include all if Volusia County, your costume should draw inspiration from and represent any landmark, history, or other classic Volusia County institution. Contestants should prepare a brief presentation outlining their inspiration.
Evening Formal Wear presentation.
Talent - Your talent selection cannot exceed 6 minutes.
Crowning - In addition to the 3 competition categories all contestants are required to have an outfit for and participate in the crowning and awards finale. Outfit from Evening Formal Wear can be reused.
By participating in the Volusia Pride Pageant (VPP) you agree to uphold the rules and regulations set forth in the participant contract upon crowning. Failure to fulfill your duties as Royal Court will result in forfeiture of your crown, brooch, sash and any remaining monetary benefits. VPP first alternate will be appointed in your place. All contestants must be at least twenty (21) years of age.
Volusia Pride holds many regularly occurring social events each month along with a variety of other events throughout the year. While only those listed below are mandatory, Volusia Pride Royal Court are expected to attend as many of these events as possible. The following are mandatory events that require full participation from beginning to end:

Youth Fundraiser (April)
Volusia Pride Pageant (May/June)
Anniversary Drag Show (June)
Deland Christmas Parade (December)
Another local Pride (Space Coast, Orlando, or Sanford)
VPP Royal Court are not allowed to compete in other Pride Pageants during their reign. Participation in other Pageant Systems is permitted.
VPP Royal Court must promote the VPP as they visit other pride festivals in Florida.
Sashes are to be respected and worn as directed. Additional sizes and replacements can be ordered at represenatives’ expense.
Reigning Royal Court are required to wear their sash, brooch, and crown at all Pride Events and Pride Pageants they attend. Exceptions can be made during a current title holder walk with another system. We respect all other titles that entertainers may hold while being with our system and you may wear those at other non-pride systems.
Volusia Pride is the only organization in Volusia County with a Pageant System so it is up to us to make sure that the LGBTQ community is properly and respectfully represented. Help us create something great.
Contestant Registration.
After your registration is complete you will receive an email containing an invoice for your registration fees as well as a contract for your review and signature. You must return these within 2 weeks in order to secure your spot in the pageant. You will be contacted 1-2 weeks prior to the pageant to work out the details of your Talent Music, Costume, and Presentation Details and receive load in information.

Regular Registration - 4/1/2024-5/15/2024 - $125
